Icon2 STRANGEST CEL PROBLEM EVER!!!!

I challenge even the best Honda people to figure this one out. The CEL on my 1992 Accord (F22A1) will not light up no matter what. I can jump the little test connector on passenger kickpanel and the D4 tranny light starts blinking, but not the right sequences for any listed codes. It like the car is trying to tell me something, but it can't speak right. The regular CEL will not light up upon engine turnover, either. I have replaced the bulb to then CEL, then the entire instument cluster, then actually rewired the circuit from the ECU up to the cluster. I did swap out the ECU for a junkyard one that I opened up and visually inspected, no change. The only thing is that I only kept it for a day so I could bring it back for a refund - not sure if that matters at all.

So my question is, WTF is going on and how can I fix it? Please do not tell me a shotgun or a sledgehammer....I already have considered those options.

One more thing, the D4 trans light does flash while I drive, even though there doesn't seem to be any issues with shifting, SINCE replacing the transmission computer. I also replaced the Vehicle Speed Sensor with a brand new one , but it is a BWD brand and I'm not sure if I should have a Beck/Arnley or some other better or more OEM brand. Thanks for any help.
