Strange Starting problem, please help me guys.

Strange Starting problem, please help me guys.
Just did a clutch job. Turned key over and just a loud click and lost all power. I switched out ecus and it started. Switched back ecus and it started. Drove it around to test for leakage. Tried starting later on and nothing. Batt charger was showing 4 volt. Threw a new battery in and started. Later no power, just a loud click from the starter. Lights dimmed out too. A jump start got it running for a half hour, then i cut it off. Tried starting it up right away and nothing but loud click from starter and dimming of lights. If a jump start gets it going and runs fine 13.75 volts on the batt while running, and kills everything when trying to start what the hell is this? Anyone with some thoughts?
