Default strange overheating problem

Hey ht, got a strange problem causing my car to overheat this morning.
Its a 96 integra Auto
Overheating happens when:
-IN DRIVE at low speeds or stop, but drops when I put it in park or neutral
-driving at a steady rate above 20 drops it as well
Its weird because fans both run &
the temp literally drops as soon as I start gassing it. But what confuses me is why its dropping in park or neutral when I'm not moving, but goes up when I'm not moving in drive.
Any ideas? TIA

Hmm, have you done a compression test? When I had my stock cluster in my CRX it would move around just a little up and down up and down randomly. After i switched it out for a GSR cluster it was all good. The crx cluster had like 350k miles on it and the gas gauge didn't work on it either. Could be a bunch of things I'd do a compression test and then start from there.

If bleeding it doesn't work, you might be looking at replacing the water pump.
