car is 95 LS , which is OBD I
engine is 96 LS, which is OBD II
sometimes the oil light will come on the car, its very strange, it seems to only do it, when i beat on the car

engine has about 90k on it
brand new itr water pump, oil pump, and timing belt
I baffeld the stock oil pan myself
I checked the oil, the first time the light came on, i was down to the bottom dot, on the dipstick, added a quart of oil, but the light still comes on occasionally

 

Get a mechanical oil psi gauge, thats the only way you're going to know what is actually going on.

 

yea, i second that and if your psi is normal and its just the switch, just unplug it

 

Oooh, that sounds problematic.

Have you changed your oil filter?

 

I'd check the oil pressure immediately....
