stock lugs with rotas.
what are the effects of using stock lug nuts on rota slipstreams?
i'm looking to buy some....but the previous owner has them mounted with stock lug nuts. i understand that this can make them seat incorrectly.
but if they are mounted correctly, and have been seated well.....it won't damage the wheel itself, will it? should i be concerned about buying these? what would happen if they weren't mounted correctly?
fyi - i am planning on using tuners if/when i get them.
thanks,
i appreciate it,
t.fish.

Re: stock lugs with rotas. (corona)
Check the Rota lug holes. Are they dished (curved on the bottom) or tapered (flat angle). Most likely they will be different, but so long as the interface is the same between the two they can work.
Make sure that they fit before you drive. After losing a front wheel at 55mph, I can personally say that it's not somrthing that you should take care of later.

different from what??? and the interfaces between what? the rim and the lug, you mean?
i'm not sure what the rota lug holes are....dished or curved.
unfortunately i'm a few thousand miles away from these rims....i've asked for a picture of the lug holes though. what should i look for?
thanks.

Re: stock lugs with rotas. (corona)
bump....
bottom line...
i want to know if these wheels could be damaged, or dangerous to ride on, because they were once used with stock lug nuts.
thanks.

Lugs aren't that expensive. you can get a set cheap from any tire store.
I'm speaking about the interface between the lug and the wheel. I wouldn't worry about the wheels themselves being damaged.
