Yeaaaaaahhh, thats pushing it. I have not ever seen a B20 get BAR'ed during my time as a smog tech. I stopped smogging cars a few years ago,so things may have changed, but knowing the State of CA, I doubt it.....

It depends on specifically which b20 he has. I only seen him state b20 not b20a or b20b

I've seen crazier things done. Don't put anything past a Honda enthusiast.

Sorry this one is blurry but you can still make out the important parts.

Well,there you go,I stand corrected.

Since the wagon is similar to the JDM Orthia,I wonder if only the wagon can have a B20 in it.

has nothing to do with that. ive seen bar stickers for b20b in integra and in civics. my 92 civic hatchback was sporting one 2 yrs ago when I had a b20 in the car.
the loop hole I think is I started with a b18b had it bard blew it up thru a b20b got sent to referee(thanks chp) and the tech said its legit cause b20b is jdm replacement for b18b.

Based on that, it sounds like the f20b would, in fact, be a jdm replacement for the h22a1 afterall. I always wondered this and hadnt heard of anyone that bared an f20b yet.

i tried the whole selling the car to someone etc.. and the judge only dismissed the modified exhaust but not the modified emissions. i ended up paying the fine and took my 9months and 5 trys to pass the ref with my jdm gsr swap 98 civic hatch. now im done and legal and no cops has harassed me since

Get an operating permit from the DMV once your car is ready to go to the ref.

If you call the BAR 800 number they will tell you where to take it. You'll call the station and schedule an appointment. Get your permit for the same day. Go bar your car. Enjoy your car.

Can anyone help me?

So i have a ticket for not having a stock intake and loud exhaust. I have correction of exhaust but it says emission ticket no correction.
So i need referee certification. Pretty much my vehicle is stock. Byt i have 2 1/2 inch piping from catalyc to muffler. Is that gonna affect the was referee certification?? Will i pass? Also had check engine light for emission low purge flow. Whuch is p0497 on a civic 2005 lx please help

But i already fixed that code and the oxygen sensor. But worried about the piping since stock is 1 1/2 anyone know??

The ref nor the state has no control whatsoever from the end of the cat back to the muffler with the exception of sound.

As long as you have no check engine codes you will be fine.
