i have a 2001 acura type R. the last week, after been run for awhile it'll stall when i'm tring to start it up again. what could be the problem?
it sounds like it's gona start but after about 10 seconds or so it'll start but when it does it sounds like it not getting enough gas cuz it sounds like it's gona die again and the rmp keeps on going up and down for about 5sec.
i had check all the plugs and the are good but the spark plugs all look black. could the spark plugs bee the problems? could i use colder spark plugs and if i do how will the perfomance be like? i have some lying around thats why i'm asking.
there doesn't seem to be any changes when i'm driving in it, only when i'm tring to started it up after it's been ran.
what could i be wrong and what can i check?

RPM up/down... Normally a sign of a vacuum leak, mis-adjusted TPS, or leaking FIV.

Plugs... If they are black you are running too rich or burning oil. A HOTTER range would keep the plugs cleaner, but fix the problem! Don't try to compensate for it.

2001... Isn't it still covered by warranty?

 

thanx, i;m also running the skunk2 ecu which is running rich itself. i think the problem was that it wasn't getting enough gas, cuz after adjusting the fuel reg. up alittle the problem didn't seem to be happening.
