92 civic

When the key is turned to the second position(augsilatry), there is no power. Fuel pump is not priming, no cels, no srs, no pomer to sunroof, nothing!!!

But when I attemp to start it, it fires right up, and dies when the key moves back to the second position. I can hold it in the third position and the car will run, but once I let go it dies.

Some times I will not have this problem until I come to a red light where I will sit for a sec and then it dies. Again I try to start it but same situation. Fires and dies.

Help me out here guys! Im stuck at work and need an answer.

ignition switch maybe?!?!?!?!

 

A very likely cause, given the symptoms. BTW, the switch part is held onto the key cylinder with two phillips head screws. You will need to disconnect the battery and remove the column shroud to get at it though.
