Default Squeaking rear driver's side wheel on ITR

I have stock 2001 ITR that recently started squeaking when in reverse. It only happens when I apply the breaks - like when backing out of a parking space. I have been able to track the squeaking to the driver's side rear wheel. I jacked the car up today and pulled off the wheel. With the parking break disengaged I tried spinning the hub and noticed that it seemed to bind up a little bit. It even squeaked some. It would spin, but not as freely as I would have thought. I put the wheel back on and repeated the process on the passenger side rear wheel. No squeaking on that side, but it also didn't seem to spin as freely as it should.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what could be causing this? I'm thinking that maybe the parking break is adjusted a little too tight, but I don't know why it would have just started doing this recently. I'm going to search to see how to adjust the parking break, but if anyone else has had a similar problem, I would appreciate their insights.

Your left rear inside brake pad is probably worn down to the squealer (1.6mm left of pad material). Inspect your brake pads. I doubt it's related to the parking brake adjustment. The outside pad is probably sticking (corroded) in the holder (caliper bracket), and so the caliper is only moving the inside pad. Fairly common on Honda/Acura rear disc brakes for pads to stick/freeze in the holders when not regularly maintained. You should regularly inspect your brakes; remove the pads, clean & lube the holders & slide pins, and reinstall the pads. Prevents uneven pad wear & slide pins freezing.

^^Thanks. You were right about the inside pads being more worn down than the outside ones. I just changed out my rear break pads and no more squeaking.
