Default Spun Bearing

what is required to repair a spun bearing? I am being told I would need to replace the crankshaft, rod with the spun bearing and all the rod and main bearings most likely. Along with that it would probably be wise to change all the seals etc down there. Is this true?

there are "some" engine builders/machine shops that will machine/grind a honda crank and then fit correct over sized bearings for them.

the problem is that honda puts some kind of hard coating on the bearing journals that gets removed once someone tries to machine/grind it down. after that happens the chance of the bearing getting spun again is much greater.

a D15 is probably worth 5 bucks.......just find another engine.....
