spring rates 4 autox
You may want to try a search. This topic has been covered and honestly if you read all the posts you get a good idea to make your own choice. ***not trying to be a jerk***
It really depends on what you want the car to do. Is it a daily driver? What is your driving style? Overall GC can set you up pretty well if you tell them what you want. However, generally for front 300-500lb springs 8". Rear 300-400lb. springs 7"
There are so many decisions and factors that go into this you will get many different answers. The best I can tell you is do research and decide for yourself. Its just hard to pick a rate for someone without a lot of info. After much benchracing I have decided to go with 380F/300R with the option to go 400/300. But I have a swaybar and like a little roll and limited snap oversteer. A friend is going 400/400.
Has a lot to do with personal driving preferences. People like certain setups more or less, and tend to drive faster with what they're more comfortable with.
Forgot....search it in the RR/Auto-x forum. There's at least one person what I can recall who's tried a number of spring rates and in different front/rear spring and swaybar combinations and lived to tell about it.
