What exactly is a "spoon" motor? what is the difference between spoon and not?

spoon motors are pretty much a fully balanced motor.

no i talking about a motor that was so could build and it was good like 300whp all motor and it was called the beast .

what is a spoon motor? its the name brand, whats so special, the name is special, the price is special, there are other people that can build a motor for less and make it way better.

closer to 230-240whp. and for $10k, i'd still rather build my own ****.

spoon takes brand new oem honda components, balances the internals, and sells it for $5000.

Did you actually read the info from the link that was provided above?

Each B-series engine assembly is a JDM Honda longblock straight from Spoon's engine assembly room. Spoon acquires these blocks from Honda Japan and disassembles them. Prior to reassembly, Spoon precision balances and blueprints these longblocks to ensure optimum performance during endurance racing. These long-blocks are blueprinted down to 0.1g. and include a Spoon 2ply. metal headgasket. </FONT>

No, it's not inexpensive, but the price isn't outrageous compared with what a brand-new crate engine from Honda/Acura would cost.
