What exactly is a "spoon" motor? what is the difference between spoon and not?

 

spoon motors are pretty much a fully balanced motor.

there's nothing "beast" about that engine except the price

 

they still sell it on inline four for 6300 long block. to much for me

no i talking about a motor that was so could build and it was good like 300whp all motor and it was called the beast .

what is a spoon motor? its the name brand, whats so special, the name is special, the price is special, there are other people that can build a motor for less and make it way better.

closer to 230-240whp. and for $10k, i'd still rather build my own ****.

spoon takes brand new oem honda components, balances the internals, and sells it for $5000.

 

its true that it may be expensive but everyone wants to make some money...

No, it's not inexpensive, but the price isn't outrageous compared with what a brand-new crate engine from Honda/Acura would cost.
