Ok guys on my way home doing normal driving....my speedometer suddenly stopped functioning and the dash lights dimmed as well as my headlights. It just feels weird but car seems to be running ok??? not sure...what could this be??? HELP anyone plz

 

Cehck the voltage, the alternator may not be charging and you were just running off the battery. You would think the alt light would be on, but I've seen it happen on several cars that it never comes on, even though the alternator is dead. Chack all the major wires and cables for good contact, make sure there is still a good ground.

 

If it was the alternator mycar would be unable to start right??
