Hmm... OEM is fine. Are you buying used ones or new ones? If buying used they might have a kink in them causing them to weaken and break. Also make if you have a swap you are using the correct one for it. You didn't specify your setup so I couldn't give any specific advice for that.

Keep the bends as wide an smooth as possible. Grease up the core real good.
