speedo sensor Question
I have a 92 civic Sir so a have the jdm b16, and I went to honda to order a new speedosensor, i asked for one from a 99 Sir, and they brought up two of them, one is the Denso (part number 78410-s04-911) and the other is the Matsushua Denshi (part number 78410-s04-912).... So does anyone know which one i'd need? or could the one i need be from the del sols with the b16?
Given the part numbers, I would expect that the -912 is a supercession of the -911. Get your parts guy to confirm.
In fact, if I'm right, the -911 part should be discontinued and replaced by the -912 automatically, no matter which # you order. (I've been a Honda motorcycle parts manager for most of the last 20 years).

They are actually two different sensors. They are not superceeded by the other. The one from Denso has a smaller housing body and one solid shaft piece. The Denshi one has a larger housing and multi-piece shaft. Both will work as they have the same functional dimensions in the tranny.
