speedo cable broke at VSS

speedo cable broke at VSS
Any ideas on how to fix this. The metal cable is still attached to the VSS but came out of the black protective hose and whatever it connects to inside the car. I'm going to be swapping instrument clusters, will this be easy to fix with the cluster off?
