Natural aspirations - thank you for your interest.
I came over from the UK on holiday last earlier this year and brought one back with me, so it is a bit difficult to return. I thought it was going to be a modded Honda head but quite clearly it is a poor copy. It is on my B16B block but not performing.
What did Procomp say to you. Who did you deal with - was it Stan Chatwood?
Thanks

They allowed me to return it, I purchased it through eBay for $400 . What seemed like a great deal just turned out to be crap. There are story's of the heads cracking due to poor casting and I was not impressed with the CNC porting at all.

Post up some photographs.

Thanks for prompt posting. Head is built up and running in car at present. Will post again when I have further news.

Did you have a valve job done in the head before use ?

Valve job? Seats left as they were. Fitted standard Honda valves with uprated springs and titanium retainers.

If I recall the valve seats were cut poorly. Try doing a leak down test to gauge the condition.

Pro Comp is Chinese ****... Much like eBay turbos. Youre taking a BIG gamble.

Their stuff is a bit more popular in the domestic scene. We actually have a set of Pro Comp heads for a SBC that dropped a valve and ruined an engine. Heads are still here at the shop. Thankfully, we werent the ones that built the engine. Needless to say, I wont be purchasing ANYTHING with the Pro Comp name on it.

The engine starting smoking, so I had a look at the exhaust ports - very oily.
I have taken the head off.Not sure why there is oil coming out of exhaust ports, inlets are fine.
Indeed the cnc work looks poor, Natural Aspirations!
I have attached a pic, I hope, it is clear enough to, see machining marks.
I did a compression test before head came off - only 170 psi, but fairly equal across all cylinders. Pistons are std Honda high comp.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Your image does not work.

Its likely that the valve guides are worn or valve seals are bad.
