Hi, recently my speedometer stopped working and had a cel light flash 17 (speed sensor). So i was just wondering as to where is the speed sensor located at on a h22a4 (5th gen prelude) and does anyone know what is a good price for one? Thanks a lot

 

It is located on top of the trasmission usually. Usually 2 10mm bolts holding in in there. Take out the bolts and pull it on out. Should be about 6" long with a little gear on the end. I'd check around at some local junkyards for a good one. As everyone knows new honda OEM parts get a bit pricey.

 

Awsome, i was thinking that it would be. I have an extra auto transsmisson laying around so i can probably take the sensor from there. If anyone can specifically tell me where it is located at on the transmission and tell me how it looks like bolted on the tranny, it would be great. Thanks again.
