Default speed sensor

i've been having a problem with my spedo. i changed the VSS and it still doesn't work. it keeps throwing a code 17 which is VSS.. its a b18b with a gsr trans the spedo use to work then it just stoped.. ne ideas? i checked the gauge cluster and its not the problem. let me know a.s.a.p i/m s/n is iluvmyjdmhona. thanks

check for continuity to make sure the wires are all a-ok coming from the VSS to their various positions within the car.

check the wiring of the vss, and make sure no moisture is in the plug that goes into the vss
