we were stuck in this dilemma too but since we had to get new bearings anyways, we opted for the ball bearing type instead of the tapered style. but if youre going to keep the tapered style, make sure you have a tq wrench that reads in in-lbs and not ft-lbs
i ordered new honda bearings. i have an appropriate torque wrench.
i'm wondering where to get a socket like that with pins to be able to turn the differential. any ideas??

there was a thread that is now archived where someone explained and had a pic of a torque wrench setup, using an old axle end to adjust differential preload.
I know its on this site somewhere.......
But the deal was grab an axle end to use those splines, weld or cut a square on the non-splined end and use an attachment for th etorque wrench to grab this cut end. Pretty simpe really, and uber-cheap
using garbage axle ends from a junkyard.
