Sound it timimg cover area????
Well for the last couple of week I have heard a sound in the timing cover area.
The only wat to explane it would be like" a water pump going bad sound".
But not real like "LooLooLoo" sound. I have taken it to 3 differant shop.
One was a honda specialist shop, the other was a place that rebuilds honda's a
Tthe other was Goodyear. They all said it sounded like it was fine. They said it was the sound of a bearing some where in the timing area. "Not a rod, or crank" thaey assured me.And said most people would never have even heard that noise. I guess I'm may be alittle paranoid be cause like Eight months ago I over rev'ed the engine. But it still seams to run the exact same.

Well, I went from 3rd to 2nd, I wasn't really all that used to the short shifter. But I do admit it was my fault. Not the shifter. But I'm gonna pull the upper Timing cover this weekend and look in to it. I have talk to a few people, and after I admited what I did they said they have done it to. Anyway the guy that worked a k-motion (I don't let them work on my car by the way, I do my own work, unless the tools cost me more than someone would charge.)back to K-Motion, they put cams in a b18 with spring, and turn 9,3000 all the time. And I know I don't have springs, but abuch of people on Clubsi.com said they have fone it too, and the one that had problems knew it when they did it, the other never had any other problem.

Or maybe the belt itself getting funky? Either way, you should figure out which & fix it. You don't want to throw your timing belt.
How old is your timing belt? Water pump? Tensioner pulley?
If you don't have a stethoscope, take a piece of garden hose up to your ear, listen thru that. Move around & pinpoint the location of the sound. It might be your alternator bearings...
