Default sound

when going from 1st to 2nd (not rev matching) it sometimes sounds like my wheels spin or chirp. I highly doubt they really do I imagine it is coming from the engine, i was just wondering what it could be, like a belt that is slipping or something similiar? I know that this is a difficult thing for you all to diagnos since you don't hear it but... maybe some one knows what I'm talkin about...
thanks in advance

HOw close do you get to redline on the 1st to 2nd? I constantly do it in my wifes EX (shitty tires don't help).

It actually happens when my rev is higher than the previous gear, so as I'm releasing the clutch and starting to accelerate my car seems to have a chirp sound but kind slower?
