Ok,,
after a bit of research ive found that larger injectors have a slower response. Which can lead to an uneven idle, which i know can also be caused by the ecu not being able to achieve a short enough pulse to flow the fuel.
What if.... A second fuel rail was used, and 2 sets of smaller injectors were used. eg. instead of 1600cc, use 800cc but twice. And have each pair of injectors connected together (running off the same ecu pin).
I know current consumption could be an issue, but this can be easily solved using another set of high quality transistors.
Would this perhaps solve part of the problem, or would the added cost/complexity outweigh any advantage?
