SOHC P&P Gains????
Hey I am in the process of Boosting my D17A2. I plan on sending out a head to have it P&P, align honed, sleeved and a valve job(will also be installing LC piston and forged rods too). But I have heard some people say that this is pointless on a SOHC, Im pretty sure that P&P would be benificial on boost and sleeves of course. But is it true? is P&P not worth the $$?
I know there are alot of SOHC boosters on here. who has had this done and does anyone have any dyno numbers to prove it?

so your sending your head to be p&p and have a valve job...and the block to be sleeved and honed and installing forged rods and LC (?) pistons.
honestly it depends on how much money is involved with the porting. im not sure on the gains... but if you have it all apart already you might as well get it done. i personally wouldnt spend much on a porting cause if i can do it myself and get 65-70% of the results without dropping a dollar, id rather just do it myself.

I put a ported/polished head on my car with a zex 59300 cam. But i got my head for free
there was some noticable gains but most of it was probly the cam. I don't know if i'd go droppin a whole lot of money into it but, but hey if it's free why not?
