I just got a stock cam for my d16y8. I did have a Web Cam regrind but I never could get it to run right. I have some headwork, Ericks Racing reprogrammed obd2 ecu, all the bolt ons, etc the thing is I just installed the stock cam today and it will not idle any lower than 1500-2000 rpm's. When it is rolling with the clutch in it idles up to about 3000 rpm's it did the same thing with the Web regrind but I never could figure it out neither could anyone else. I just thought it was because the cam didnt have enough vacuum at idle to keep the car running so it would either load up and cut off or idle really high. I didnt think it would do this with the stock cam. I need to adjust my valves again they are a little noisey. I followed my repair manuals instructions on adjusting the valves I have taken out and installed cams before and I just cant figure it out. What should I do??

 

does it surge or does it just hold a high idle when u push the clutch in? did u try putting a stock ecu in? chk the iac? look for vacuum leaks?
