Default sny. for rebuilt motors????

is it ok to use synthetic oil for breaking in rebuilt motors??? if no, why?

Any oil is fine but... why waste the money on synthetic when you'll be draining the oil in 500 miles?

NO do not...I repeat DO NOT use syntetic oil for breaking in a motor!! your rings will not seat as well. use regular oil for a good 500+ miles and then switch. ask any engine builder this question, they'll tell you the same thing.

Yeah, I agree with shermanwang. I was told specifically not to use synthetic oil during breakin by a few qualified people.
