when i hit the vtec my car smokes a lot!!! my car makes loud ticking sound i think my engine is gonna blow i donno what to do should i keep driving my car or what should i do when i get to 5 thousand rpm my car gets louder and IT SMOKES PLEASE HELP I DONT WANNA BLOW NEW ENGINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What an idiot. B series engines do tick, its NORMAL. Its also normal to smoke when going into VTEC.

i have a GSR and a B16 CRX and they DONT smoke or tick when you hit VTEC! you need to get that checked out that isnt normal.

 

maybe a good idea is to check the timing, if its advanced too much and you hit vtec which advances it even more it will detonate. maybe run some better fuel and do an oil change, compression test, leak down test, do something before you have a giant ashtray
