smashed front - frame needs to be pulled...HELP! - central, CA
ok so there's an integra for sale with a busted front and then there's a deal for a jdm front.
imma put two and two together.
the owner says that the integra needs basically a front clip and mentions the frame needing to be pulled.
is there anyplaces or anyone who could pull my frame for cheap in central california? (modesto, ca to be exact)
ill even take the diy route, but i really dont know what im doing.
will a chain connected to a car, connected to the busted integra's frame, be enough to pull it straight or is there a special technique/tool?
ahh! i need to kno fast so i could make my decision on purchasing the integra.

LOL do not do it urself. U have to get a professional frame pull, then they gotta remove the old radiator support and weld on the new one. Not easy even if u can weld, u have to be exact wit ur measurements or ur whole front end is gonna be all out of line. If u want it done cheap go to Maaco, but if u want it done right do some research and find a place thats gonna take their time and do it right.
I had a frame pull, they removed the old support and welded on a new one and painted it plus some extra things that were need to be done for under $600, but only one sided needed a pull, not both.

When panel beaters pull a frame they place the car on a machine which is connected to various EXACT positions on the frame.
The positions are programmed into a computer which tells the tech when the positions are exactly lined up, this allows the panel beater to pull the frame in the exact direction and the exact distance.
Remember metal stretches, so the frame has to be pulled slightly more and when it's released the metal springs back into the correct place.
Needless to say, tying a chain onto your frame and driving off in a car to yank it back will just **** your car up even more.
