Default Small Alternator?

I'm at a loss where this should go to get a good answer. I have a turbocharged B18 with a Hondata S300. I want to replace the current alternator with a smaller one.

There seem to be a million available from Summit Racing...is there a recommended super small alternator that will work? My electrical load is extremely low. Most accessories have been removed.

We just tuned a fox body Mustang that had an extremely small one-wire alternator configuration... Im not too keen on the make of it though. maybe poke around some fox body forums. It was about the size of a large apple.

EDIT: looked alot like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-CHEVY-60...131d95&vxp=mtr

older d-series alternators are quite a bit smaller than the b-series.

I've seen some 6lb Mini one wire alternators that are 45 amp to 60 amps. The case diameter is 93mm or about 3.6 inches and a mounting hole to mounting hole distance of about 5-1/4.

I'm assuming the I can use any 1 wire setup.

Why not just underdrive it? Ive had bad luck with non OEM alternators.

I want to get rid of the size/weight. Some of these alternators are half the size and weight.

I definitely will. My only concern is that I have a pair of driving lights and an electric fan to run.
