Default Sleeving in So. California?

Where did you So. Cal. residents get your block sleeved? I have been to Adams Mettalizing and Jim Grubbs Motorsports, and the soonest they could have it done is March.

I am in the Valencia/Palmdale area.

It is a D17A1 motor with Darton Sleeves.

Contact Earl on here or call Bensons Performance Machine in Santa Ana. 714-241-1284. Most likely you will need to leave a message, but Dan will get back to you.

Steve Demerjian at Race Engine Performance Huntington Beach. He used to be the machinist (installations) for Darton Sleeves, until they started doing them inhouse.

thanks guys. I called darton today and they can do it in house for $400 and can have it done in about 12 days.

They arent going to finish the cylinder walls, so i talked to a place here that will finish the cylinders to the pistons, clearance the pistons to the rods, and notch the cylinder walls to clear the rods for about $160.

I called golden eagle also, but they cannot install the darton sleeves because it takes a completely different process than their sleeves. And they do not make sleeves for my motor.

Anyway, darton will have the block done before i go in for surgery. So that is a breath of fresh air.
