sleeving AFTER pistons??
ok heres the deal, i will be sleeving my h23 block for turbo, however right now i need to get it running asap, so is it alright to go ahead and get my pistons and rods and install them, then later on once i have the motor running i can sleeve it?i just wanna make sure that nothing will need to be altered or that i wont have an problems, because i dont have the money right now to do it all at once unfortunatly and i'm in a hurry to have a running car...
H22 & H23 use special material in the stock cylinder wall that only work with stock cast pistons. You must sleeve the block to use aftermarket pistons.

How much are you expecting to boost and what compression are you going to run? Take this info:
Compression <Boost
10.5:1 <8psi
10:1 <10psi
9.5:1 <12psi
9:1 <14psi or more
Good luck with everything...

Not to hijack, but what about d-series engines? I've just never heard of this. I knew about sleeving and honing, but never knew it was for this specific reason.
