im doin my head in a lil bit and i've been hearing bad things about ti retianers... im putin in skunk2 cams, cam gears,skunk2 springs,skunk2 retainers, stock valves... i was wondering if i should...could swap the skunk2 retainers for stock ones cuz i've heard that u have to inspect them ever 15k miles... its a daily driven car gunna see about 8500 rpm... thanks guys.. could i even use stock retainers on skunk2 springs?

 

don't do it, I lost my motor on a piece of **** stock retainer, it was a fully built head...but it had stock retainers, it cracked on the track and dropped a valve. the head couldn't be salvaged and my block needed to be re-sleeved and my piston has a big *** hole. get some retainers from a reputable company and you'll be fine.
