skunk2 cams + ctr pistons
If you ran CTR pistons and skunk2 cams, would the piston to valve ratio/clearance be too small and the pistons hit the valves?
Search yeilded way too many CTR results to weed through.
Anyone have this setup?

Anyone have this setup?
while my current engine was on the engine stand, we put in crower stg 3 vtec cams in and put clay in the cylinders and checked clearance. I also have ctr pistons. Everything as far as we could see, was ok. They have huge valve reliefs in them.
Anyone else???

cool beans
I totally forgot about claying the motor!!!
Still dont want to dump some money into the pistons and them not work. You are right about the valve releifs tho. They are pretty deep. I'd just hate to see my investment come to a crashing end. If you know what I mean. lol

That will not change the piston to valve clearance.
Even if everybody says that they run CTR pistons with Skunk2 Stage 2 cams with no problems, I would still clay the motor. If you are going to run adjustable cam gears (as you should), clay the motor with the exhaust cam retarded as far as you think you might go, and the intake cam advanced as far as you plan on going.
