Should I ever grease the lugnuts?
When I'm swapping back and forth between two sets of wheels, should I grease the lugnuts or just leave them dry?
Thanks,
Dan

I grease lugnuts....
Its the lugs that haven't been removed in a long period of time that create all the problems.. this is especially true with alloy rims due to that super-bonding affect of aluminum oxide...
If you swap rims around frequently, then I see no harm in leaving them dry... But there is no harm in lubing as well and I just prefer greasing them...

can someone explain the "dry" theory to me?...
I'm not saying it's right or wrong, I would just like to understand why this is the case..

why does it have to be dry? i spray wd40 and grease them up when the nuts don't want to go in, otherwise, i leave them dry.

Use a dab of antiseize and apply to each stud before putting the new wheel back on. This helps ensure a proper torque when torquing the wheels. Also makes it easier for swapping wheels when you take the lug nuts on and off they wont get misthreaded and what not.
