short throw shifter question
i have a 95 civic lx non vtec. i want to get a short throw shifter, but im not sure what to get. i found some on ebay for $22 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...=6763
are shifters one of those things you should spend the extra $$ for a brand name? or should i go with this one? if not, what brand is good? also, is this all i need to put it in? no other parts?

Alot of people will tell you to stay away from cheap ones, however I paid about $40 for a generic short throw shifter from AutoZone. I've had it for nearly 2 years now without any problems whatsoever, and it shifts really nice. Throw length is shorter than a stock Miata 6-speed or S2000 6-speed shifter.
However I did see a Skunk2 shifter at a performance shop one time. I picked that thing up and *whoa* that thing is nice. I would love to have one of those. The hardware included is top notch, unlike mine, where I had to add washers on the throughbolt on the bottom in order to make it fit my linkage w/o rattling.
