Default Shop trying to rip me off?

I swapped another motor into my 91 Accord. I couldn't get it to start. There's fuel, spark, and compression #'s look alright. I towed it to the shop and they said that my catalytic converter was clogged that's why it didn't start. They also said that there was an electrical problem. I'm most almost certainly sure that there's no electrical probelm. Everything was plugged in. All the grounds were ground and everything. Do you think the shop is trying to make some extra $?

Couple of questions,1st did you or them install the motor,2nd since you didn't replace the cat w/new one,did the old motor run before w/this cat?If so how could this be the problem?

If there's air, fuel, spark, and good compression than it sounds like a good motor to me???

But obviously you don't have all those things if it doesn't start..........

plugging all the plugs in does not mean there isn't an electrical problem! if that was you diagnostic path you definatly need to leave it at a shop.

My cousin and I installed the motor. It was the same cat. At first the old motor did run on the cat, but only for about 1-3 minutes then the motor would die. Then it would start anymore. I just got the car back from the shop. They gutted my cat. out. Now my bumper lights don't work anymore and my turn signals have turned all riced out (blinking very fast). If they did some electrical work then why are my turn signals messed up? I'm going to bring the car back to the shop. They charged me $100 for the electrical work!

I checked my bulbs already. They're all fine. The front driver's side corner light doesn't even come on at all.

Get a friend who knows man, I don't know too much about specifics.
My dad is a mechanic so that helps me out, What exactly did they do? Rewire the 02 sensor? What did they rewire?

did you check if the bulbs are the right ones? Some blinkers require two way bulbs, with two filaments in them. You might wanna check that.

Those are the same bulbs that worked before this happened.
