Default shifter question

my brother just bought a 90 integ with a b16a1 swap...i put on a short shifter from a 92-95 civic (had it lying around) and although it works, it rubs against the heat shield of the exhaust pipe. im just wondering if i should change to a 90 integ short shifter or go to muffler shop to cut the heat shield.

thanks for the help yall.

peace outside...laters

Go to a muffler shop? Get under there with a 10mm socket and take the heat shield off yourself. In fact, I just came inside from changing my oil and removing that very same heat shield.

the 90 integra shortshifter and the 92 civic shortshifter are the same pieces. take off the heatshield and be done with it.
