Shifter Bushings: Disappointing
I had a shop install some Energy Suspension shifter bushings into my 95 Integra LS a few weeks ago... and I've got to say, I'm very disappointed. I didn't notice any difference at all over the stock shifter bushings. There is still about 1/4" horizontal play in the shift **** while in gear.
Why did I never hear anyone else disappointed with their bushings? Could it be that maybe the shop that was supposed to install them didn't actually install them? Or if installed improperly, would they be "worthless" over the stock bushings?

check for play in the pin that connects your linkage to the transmission. mine was shot and i eventually could not put it into any outside gears, first, fifth or reverse.
after the replacement and bushings i decided i didn't need the short shifter after all, that's how well it worked. no play in gears at all.

wow, i noticed a big difference when i installed my energy susp. shifter bushings....the shifter goes into gear a lot smoother, and there was a lot less "play." you should take a look under your car and see if they really did install the bushings, unless it is a reputable shop that you trust....IMO some shops can be kinda shady...
