Shifter Bracket

Good evening. I would like to know something. I have an H22 swapped EG Hatch and supposedly the shifter bracket is broken. Would I have to drop the motor/gearbox to be able to access it to swap out/fix it?

The only "bracket" is #3, does not look like you need to drop either the engine or transmission. 94
