Default Shift linkage issue... searched

Alright, I recieved my Bswap and had it put in about 4 months ago. Along with the swap came an aftermarket short shifter that vibrates like hell on the exhaust lines. I went to Midas and had tem heat-bend the pipes to give it more play and it worked perfectly. Then a 4 days later it felt like the shifter dropped an inch or two in my hand and went right back to vibrating. This is aggravating because the rattle sounds are just nasty as hell.

What to do, what to do...

I have read other threads where ebay shortshifters sit too low and hit the exhaust, but on top of that I have abotu 2 inches of play with it. Meaning that I can sit in my car, put my hand on the stick shift and pick it up about 2 inches and let it drop... again hititng the exhaust lines.

I see people make posts in description of a part that put up a diagram showing exactly where everything is. In this case it would be really nice to have one of those becasue there are a few different things it could be based on the reading I have done. I also read of this similar issue where someone was missing a 10 cent washer.

If anybody has a breakdown image of the shift linkage, it is welcome.
Thanks...

Mine did the same thing about a week ago, it was the rear support bushing was loose and it let the linkage drop about an inch right onto the exhaust. Crawl under the car and look at the rear of the linkage. It supports the bar that doesn't move with the shifter.

Thanks, I am pretty confident that that is more than likely what it is based on the responses. However, I have no problem crawling up under the car, I just do not know exactly what I would be looking for to tell if it needs replacement. I will give it a shot on Sunday though and see what I find. How much does the rear suppport bushing cost, I am thinking I could just go to teh honda dealership around here and buy it for general purpose and comparison.
