Default This setup, good?

Ok well I am new here so I'll introduce myself. I am Matt and live in the Netherlands. I have a setup in mind for my '93 Del Sol Vtec(b16a2).

Civic TypeR Cams
Skunk2 Valve Springs
Civic TypeR Pistons
Civic TypeR Head
P73 ECU

How would this do on a B16A2 engine? Reliablility? And what kind of output can I expect?

Current mods @ this moment are, CAI, V-AFC, Skunk2 Full Catback exhaust, Comptech 4-2-1 header, Magnecor sparkplug cables, MSD 6AL, BlasterCoil 3.

Thanx!

Greetings, Matt

So you are essentially turning your motor into a B16B. I think you can do without the Skunk2 valvesprings, the CTR ones are fine for the parts you have planned.

So for a N/A setup this is good? Or what is better than this?

For the price of a CTR head, you can probably have the stock b16a2 head ported and polished well beyond the capabilities of the stock CTR head. Perhaps some more aggressive cams and a complete valvetrain upgrade rather than just springs. Consider your budget and your options before making a decision. And don't forget the important steps of getting a good header, intake manifold, throttle body, exhaust, intake, etc.

Yeah, ported and polished. Thats a real big problem. Its kinda crap that I live in the Netherlands. There's nobody here that does porting and polishing! For this I have to go to the UK. That costs money aswell. Fairly easy for me would be, throw on a complete CTR head included with cams, valve springs, valves, and retainers. Butt if this is completely useless i don't do it... (dah!)
I heard some good things about the CTR cams.

So what other options do I got?

If it would be more cost effective to use the complete CTR head, then by all means do it, you will find significant gains over the stock head, and you can probably sell the stock head to an LS owner for an LS/VTEC conversion and make some of your money back. But about the CTR cams, they are pretty much the most aggressive cams Honda ever released and are a common aftermarket upgrade for many b16a owners as well as b18c owners.
