I have some 2-piece wheels that one day I may want to restore... The paint has bubbled and chipped in places, the polished lip is loosing its clearcoat in places and misc blems are all around. Is it safe to seperate the wheels to repaint the centers and refinish the lips? Is it something I should have done professionaly (even if its just to seperate them for me?).

Lastly, does anyone know if Rays does refinishing themselves, I really like their original color =P
