Im replacing the alternator from my second gen b16, I just went to autozone and bought one for a 94 del sol vtec and it dosent fit, arent all the b series the same?

 

the plug or the mount doesnt fit?

 

if i put the bottom bolt in, the top dosent line up to the bracket, its like 1/4 inch too tall and it wont slide all the way forward because it hits the bolt for the upper timing belt cover.

did you make sure to clarify if it was a SOHC or DOHC at Autozone? if anything.. you might have better luck ordering an integra alternator.. just make you got the right plug type.. od0..od1.. obd2.

 

um yes i ordered the one for the dohc vtec del slow motor. and the same type as my stock one (nippon denso)

 

ok story is the JDM bracket is diffrent from the USDM del slow b16 bracket, a GSR alternator works great just installed it.
