Default searched eg dome light problem

I have a 92 si hatch. The dome light doen't work when drivers door is open but, does work in the on position and when the passenger side door is open. It use to work until very recently. I have checked the door micro switch has power to it 11.3v and is in good working condition. The bulb and fuses are good b/c the light works in other positions. Any ideas of how to trace this problem down?

Thanks,

Default Re: searched eg dome light and seat belt chime problem (dognutz)

I just heard the chime for seat belt for the first time 2 days ago and it was only that one time a never since. These two things the dome and chime have to be related. Anybody have any similar problems and fixes?

Does the light come on when you ground the drivers door switch wire?

It may have a bad integrated control unit.

Do I need to replace this with another one from SI or can I use one from 94-96 integra.

I usually try to verify the problem before replacing parts, but the integrated control unit can be difficult to do that. I swap one from another car to be sure. Dont have a clue on interchangeability.

It was the ICU. I used one from a dx and it seems to operate all functions.

Thanks for the responses
