Default scratched piston a problem? big pic

is it going to be any problems?

There's one scratch on the upper, left valve relief in the picture, you can barely catch it with the nail... the other ones you can't....

thx,

Doesn't look bad. You could always sand it out a bit w/ fine sand paper if you're concerned.

That's a nice way of putting it... my G/F uses the word "****".

She said "you need to stop being so **** if you ever want to finish your project".

No problem on the top. Smooth it out.
Put a scratch on the side and you would have sealing problems.
You are OK

You're fine, buff them out if you've got to have it look good.

I agree that it'll be fine.

Put a scratch on the side and you would have sealing problems.
The rings seal, the piston doen't actually touch the cylinder walls. I don't know if it would really affect it on the side either. Of course you're the moderator and I'm still sporting the smiley face, so I may be wrong!!

a scratch on the side could cause oil flow problems, thus causing sealing problems.
