scape in head above valve, normal? 1 pic inside

every valve has the same kinda scrape next to it

you can see the scrape on the bottom left side of pic

Has the head ever had the valvesprings/valves removed, or is it bone stock?

Yep, I think that's where they grind off any flashing (I think it's called) leftover from the casting process.

cool thank you guys, as far as anything being replaced in the head...
well its a jdm 1st gen b16 but has a 2nd gen valve cover... so something happened somewhere along the line in JAPAN!
