i have a quick ques me and my brother did a 5th gear pull on the highway doin 70mph and i have the SC GSR and he has the SC 99 SI there both JRSC but we did the pull and he started to pull on me a little is it because of the ratio's in the trans??? that is what i was thinking but what do u think
He had a total of of 375lbs not including a full tank (two people)
I had 550lbs with half tank (two people)

i was thinking it was mostly becuase of the ratio's what do u think?

 

And his car is lighter.

 

any other mods on either car would affect it too.

 

I only found one article that stated the 99 Si to be 70lbs lighter. That doesn't amount to much stock vs. stock with the GS-R's 10 more HP.

A 5th gear pull isn't a very good indicator of how each car runs, considering the gearing ratios of the two cars.
