i duno what type of title to put, but is there any way to cut the cord of the safc and make it into 2 types of a connection ? like a male to female type of deal ? that way, at night i can disconnect it and bring it into the house. but, if i were to do that, will loose my settings ?

A safc will not loose its setting if you disconnect the clip.
