Default S2000 Cluster Orange to Blue - Colour Change

Would it be possible to change the colour of the cluster in the S2k dash from the predominantly orange colour that it is (stock) to a blue colour (modified)?

I don't know how the orange colour in the dash comes about, is it little orange LED's? If so, then they could be swapped.

Or is the orange somehow integrated into the actual number display in a way that would complicate the whole project into oblivion and make it too much of a PITA?

The color isn't changable, it's an inherant part of the display.

Spool diff= performance on the strip.

Color changed gauge face = rice.

Welcome to the tech forum. You really should have posted this in Appearance/Cosmetic.

my car has blue lights in the interior (door sills - only visible when the doors are opened)

i want to put the s2000 cluster in my dash, and i would prefer it if the orange/red didn't clash with my blue

either, i change the s2k cluster to blue, or i change the other lights to red

personally, i prefer blue, therefore wanting to change

and that's not rice, thats just common-sense

and i have over 500rwhp and over 600rwNM of torque so i'm allowed to colour coordinate my interior

and the "supercharged honda city" tool should grow up instead of shouting "RICER" at anyone that actually has a brain (and hence say things that seem confusing to him)

Most of that would have been useful information for the first post. That said, this still belongs in A/C, not Tech/Misc. This is an appearance question. Mods, please move the thread, mmmk?

Back to the original issue, you won't be able to change the color of the display unless you have a source for custom LCD manufacturing.

And for the record, putting an S2k cluster in place of a functional OEM one (a purely cosmetic change that costs a fair amount of money and doesn't add HP, Tq, cornering performance, etc), or changing your interior lights to all blue (same thing), is rice, at least to me, and a lot of other people around here.

I don't care if it has 2000 hp. It's still rice.

Seems like any answer to his question would be technical, no?

Stop bashing so hard, stop being such followers. Let the man do what he wants.

Edit: Doh, old *** thread.

Yeah no kidding......if he had wanted to put white LEDs in a Sir cluster then they would of been giving him props

Sounds like a damn cool idea to me

you have to unsolder all the leds, and solder in new ones, it can, and has been done, you just have to have patience, steady hand, and a little skill with a soldering gun.
