Default Rust inside a P28???

I received a P28 ecu today, and when I opened it I found surface rust on some of the solder points. I this going to fry the ecu if I plug it in? If so, is there any way to remove it without damaging the board? Thanks for you help.

I found a solution that I thought I would share, in case anyone else had this problem. I went to Radioshack and purchased a bottle of electronics cleaner. Get the one with the brush, and goto town on the ecu. This stuff will remove most of the rust, and you can use the brush to get the rest. The only bad thing about it is that the bottle costs $10, and I used most of it.

It shouldn't fry anything, but cleaning it like you did is good. Sounds to me like someone tried to molest the P28 and left it out open a little...good luck with it.
